Here is the basic mood board for the office. This room is tiny, tiny with a tall vaulted ceiling. The next thing on the list is a hanging light fixture of some sort. I feel like my curtains have kind of a chinoiserie vibe. I’ve seen this one on a few blogs and I really liked it.
This office is a big mix of traditional and contemporary so I thought it would be fun to have a really pretty mini- chandelier to hang.
The other option is a really nice hanging pendant.
I would love to hear your thoughts!
Hey! Shades of Light has a darling little pagoda-esque ceiling fixture that I'm thinking of using. I think it comes in white and a dark bronze color. It might be perfect!
The first one catches my eye. I hung a similar one in my office that I found for a great price on Overstock. Good Luck – love your mood board!
I'm going to have to go with the first one – the Living Well Lantern. I just think it's unique and seems to suit the style of the room the most.
I love the living well lantern and looks like it would go perfectly with your inspiration board!
I prefer the Living Well Lantern. It's something unexpected. I love that in a room.
Well they're all great, but I'm totally drawn to the first one. There's something very unique and unexpected about it with your mood board. Can't wait to see which one you pick!
I vote for the first one as well! Can't wait to see this all come together for you!
I love the lantern but am also drawn to the mini chandelier. I like that it is unexpected.
I love the chandelier, its a little touch of glamour! I like the lantern, but sometimes I think those look a little porchy-y for inside the house.
although i am immediately drawn to the first one, i like the glamour of the second one. adding a little sparkle to the room seems to add just the touch your space is needing.
can't wait to see it!
I love the drum shade pendant! I am drawn to the clean lines. The colors you are using for your office are so pretty and fresh!
I LOVE that lantern!
love the living well lantern. i think it would fit the space well.
I think I'd go with the pendant – maybe with the shade covered in a fun fabric. Or maybe I just like it because that is what I have in my office!
My philosophy is "when in doubt, chandelier!" I just made that up. But really, I love them. I love pendants, too, but that would put the room a little too much on the smooth, linear side for my taste.
I adore the mood board for your office! I would go with the first option-I've seen it around too and love it. Was thinking of buying it for my entry. Can't wait to see the whole room once it is finished!
I know I am not in the majority here, but I think the third one is fun, clean, fits in well with the rest and feels "office-y". I agree that it might be fun to wrap it in a different fabric.
another vote for the living well lantern. it would look great painted in a fun color.
i also like the drum shade…it can be covered with a fabulous fabric to really make it stunning.
fun stuff!
I always love chandeliers the most.
I like them all but love the first one! I have a small office space as well and found that a chandelier was the only way to get enough good light. I tried the shade and it looked awesome but did not give enough light for my small space.
#1 for sure!
I think the Minka Lavery would really soften some of the other modern and straiter edges that you have going on in the space…especially if the office is on the smaller side. Looks great so far, can't wait to see the finished product!
I adore the first one!
Luvs!
You know Im a chandelier girl but Im feeling the Pendant! I think it goes with the room so well. Anything you choose will be so cute though!
Great look…I can't wait to see what you do…I'm sure you'll post pics 🙂
1 is my first pick, 3 second pick. we think along the same lines. i have a huge map on my office wall. my credenza is painted green like those fileboxes. and i have that same print (live what you love). great minds….
hi! i love you and your blog! thanks so much for the everyday inspiration. it tops my list of daily reads (which is pretty major since I have no time to read blogs now that I have a baby) . : )
anyhow, did you ever say where that amazing map is from. forgive me if you did- blame that baby!
