I recently stumbled upon this beautiful nursery at Somewhere Splendid. It was designed by Joni of Lay Baby Lay. I am in love with the color combo!
I think this black and white chevron rug totally makes the room!
This rug is similar to this Madeline Weinrib version.
While researching for an e-design client last week I came across this great knock-off!
Babies, make me smile! Great Post!

This is adorable. I have a few cousins who are currently pregnant and I am definitely passing along this post!
That baby is adorable. I love the entire vibe of the nursery, what a fun hip mommy. Thanks for sharing and great rug source, I've always found great pieces there.

That nursery is amazing! I love it all.
I LOVE that nursery! And the rug…thanks for the resource!
I am in love with this post. What a beautiful nursery and that color combination is just perfect.
I'm not typically a fan of black and white put together but that room is just darling. Paired with the orange and blues really soften it up!
What a great color combination! So freah and original. I'm going to have to keep this combination in mind. What I'll do with it, I have no idea. But I LOVE IT! 😀
Thank you for this great link!! I find it so hard to find good nursery blogs!
that nursery is ADORABLE!
i LOVE the chevron rugs! so much that i actually painted one myself!

i think that super cute baby makes the room even cuter 🙂
Literally though, not one thing in that room that I don't love!! Great find!
The room has so much character. It feels like it was put together over a couple of years. Makes it that much better. Great rug.
Gorgeous space!! Love the colours, and the rug is great!!
Love that nursery. It is so glam! Also great find on the rug. It is almost identical, and for such a great price!
Soooo cute! I love that you found a GREAT knock-off rug – I just bookmarked it. Kirsten, I mentioned your blog on mine today 😉

I love that color of the dresser and how they used different family photos above it! I feel like so many times people forget to include real photos in the nursery.
CUTE CUTE
That is the best nursery I have ever seen! Love the rug and the artwork. The monogrammed curtain is also very chic.
I loooove this look — though I had a black and white striped rug, and it showed SO much dirt. The white looked dingy, and hairs and fuzzies showed on the black stripes — it was a nightmare to keep clean!

I'm in love with this room and the sweet little baby. The colors are brilliant. Thanks for sharing!
You're right, the rug totally makes the room. It could have been a stripe, too, but it had to be bold black and white!
I also love the stork poster. And the monogrammed shade. And the bunting. And the black dresser. And the Narnia quotes. I'll stop now 🙂
What a sweet little nursery.

Hey How's it Going?
The nursery is adorable. And that rug is such a great deal!
love the rug, love the look a like version, good find!
lovely nursery! Loving that black dresser~
Thanks for sharing the rug source. I just ordered one for my son's room.
LOVE: the colors, the rug, the frames, the babies, the everything.
I've been drooling over that nursery too, love every bit of it!
I love that color palette! I have seriously been carrying around some magazine pages since having my first baby (only 4 1/2 years ago) with rooms with this very same pale aqua, coral, taupe palette. Alas I couldn't find fabrics that worked back then. Seeing this makes me want to try it another room now. I am doing lilac, taupe/linen, and coral for my third baby which I suppose is a derivation, but with very slow progress. I also love strong black and white combinations in babies/kids rooms. I wanted black, white and red but did aqua, red and gold with black and white accents in my oldest's nursery and big girl room. Rambling now, but thanks for the inspiring post!
I just bought that great knock-off after reading your post. I had been eyeing the west elm version for my birthday, but wasn't crazy about the red tips. Thanks for this! I can't wait until it arrives.
That is by far the best nursery that I've ever seen! It has great splashes of color with stark black and white which is great for baby's brain development. I simply love it! Thanks for sharing 🙂
That has to be one of, if not THE BEST, nursery I've ever seen.
If you use the code GG20 on the chevron rug you get 20% off!!!!
i. love. this. room. off to investigate the details further! 🙂
this is very nice and impressive blog.
