After I posted about Rebecca’s E-design board last week I got an email from one of my readers, Rachel. She told me that she had found a smaller print knock-off of the Riad fabric at Hobby Lobby!
This lattice print is only $8.99 a yard!
She used it to do curtains in her room.
another option…
This Metro Living fabric is a great price as well and looks very similar.
This fabric is also very similar to the Bocce fabric from Calico Corners.
Which is the fabric Janell used to do this amazing headboard in.
You can read more about her headboard here.
I think a trip to Hobby Lobby is in order! 🙂
I used this pattern to cover two stools near my front door. I actually found two curtain panels (outdoor- so the fabric was very durable) on discount from Home Sense. It was under $15 to cover the two stools!
What a great find!
Good find. Thanks for sharing.
Great projects! I absolutely love this fabric and saw it at Hobby Lobby myself in a few different hues. Oh the endless possibilities!
I'm in love with Janell's headboard!
So fun! That headboard is amazing!
I have almost bought that fabric so many times. Like, I've had it in my hand waiting in line to get it cut… and then I walk away and put it back because I have no idea what to use it for! But I need to figure something out because I LOVE it.
Hobby lobby has some awesome deals!
I love that pattern and always great to find a fantastic deal…thanks for sharing 🙂
My God, I LOVE her bedroom, the curtains are PERFECT with the rest of the room, such pretty colours and patterns.
Thanks for the shout out Kristin…it's a good thing I love this pattern, I'm going to be looking at it for awhile! 🙂
Wish there was a hobby lobby near me!
Janell
Gotta love a good bargain! And both of their bedrooms are so beautiful. I love the way the fabric pops! Thanks for the tip!
I found a smaller scale of the bocce at a local fabric store and used it to cover a canvas for my dining room.
Love what they did with the fabric! Thanks for sharing the various options.
Great projects! I haven't been to Hobby Lobby in a while- I definitely need to go! 🙂
Hello, Kirsten! Just a quick note to say the BOCCE from Calico Corners is a jacquard woven fabric–heavier than a print and that's why it's more expensive. BOCCE would be great for upholstery, pillows and for top of bed or a tailored bedskirt. However, Calico has many other geometric or arabesque design fabrics that are suited for window treatments.
And for everyone in a decorating mode, Calico's big Spring Sale is on right now through March 26 with 20% off ALL fabrics and custom labor too. Even the fabrics online are on sale, in case you're not near a store.
I forgot to mention that BOCCE at Calico Corners comes in 9 colors (all shown online) in case you want something different than a black/white pattern. There is also a 10th color (Fresco) that is being discontinued, so it's on sale for even less.
All are shown at CalicoCorners.com–just enter the name Bocce in the Search Box. If you click on the Fabrics tab, you can also search by Pattern, then click on Geometrics to see what similar fabrics are available. And FYI, not all fabrics in the stores are shown online yet, so there's more selection on the sales floor.
Why oh why dont we have a Hobby Lobby in New England- I get so sad seeing projects like this. I think its time for a trip down south 🙂
I used a great Hobby Lobby fabric to reupholster some chairs and I love it! http://23designcompany.blogspot.com/2011/02/furniture-facelift-chairs.html
How have I not been by your blog before?! We just got a HL within driving distance- I didn't know they had cool fabric! Now I'm excited to go check it out!
I used that Hobby Lobby fabric to back my kitchen cabinets (the blue/brown version) Love finding 'similar' patterns for under $10!!
I have purchased some of the Hobby Lobby fabric! I love it! And if you get a half off coupon… score!

Does Rachel have a blog? I'd love to see more photos of her room!
I have seen it at Hobby Lobby in a few other colorways too. Great find. I love the pattern in black and white.
Just to let you all know, Hobby Lobby frequently has sales online for 40% off one item, which is what I used to buy my fabric. They give you the discount on the full amount of yardage up to 10 yards. So my 8 yards of fabric cost me just under $50.
Even though I have a local HL, I chose to order online since shipping is cheaper than gas these days:) So those who don't have a local store, check online!
Thanks to those who like my room- it was so fun to do!
I tried SO hard to find a good knock off of the Riad. We needed a TON of it for a project. Nothing quite compared to what I found. (although, all these seem like good candidates. I just wish they had it in the color way I needed.)
Now I'm using it in my own home. Interiormall.com seems to have good sources too. Kind of a ghetto site, but the prices aren't bad…
oooh gorgeous!!
