Do you ever open a magazine to a room and say out loud, “wow”. I loved this room in the latest issue of Traditional Home. I don’t usually find myself drawn to such a muted color palette. But this whole home is making me drool.
It’s stormy and moody and oh so cool.
Love this kitchen! Love the floor. Love the blue cabinets and I am so in love with the red pendant lights.
and ummmm… there are no words for this bathroom.

Im at work daydreaming about what it would be like to live there. Just gorgeous! The pop of color in the kitchen is genious. Thanks for sharing.
ahhhhh. that looks like heaven to me! so relaxing and natural. i'd love to have that in my house!
Love the common thread throughout the house….but yet each room is so unique and interesting. Thanks for sharing!
hmmmm. I am loving your dark cabinets in the kitchen. As much as I love a good white kitchen, dark makes my heart pitter patter!
Ok this home is so yummy!! That master bath is fantastic!
Oh wow is right! Amazing!! Love, love, love that bathroom.
oh, LOVE…this is Bob Mitchell's home right? Love the mix of vintage Eames with the traditional. Also, love his banquette (they have that in Mitchell Gold right now) – I did a post 2 weeks ago on banquettes on a budget =) love your blog!
I'm normally drawn to vibrant colors myself, but this looks so right! I still have my latest issue in the plastic wrap -haven't had time to dive in yet!
Stunning! I love the muted colours and moody blues!
I love that light blue rounded chair at the dark dining room table. And that bathroom? Yes please!
Recently I've been loving a muted color palette. I think I OD'd on orange in my living room! Ladies – I have an awesome Stella & Dot bangle GIVEAWAY going on at the eagle's nest right now. http://www.nesteaglerock.com
just got done flipping through the new trad home and I stopped dead in my tracks when I came to that bathroom. Holy marble 🙂
wow! is right – what's not to love here… thanks for sharing!
The dining room makes me want to run out for gray paint.
It's official! I need blue kitchen cabinets. GORGEOUS! 🙂
Red pendant lights and the rug in the first picture – definitely ear-marking those for inspiration some day!
oh.. my.. agosh- where did they find that circular bench!?! I am in love!
That lucite chair is perfect for the destroyers room. Sometimes plastic is the way to go for a kids room.
So beautiful. We saw this in Traditional home and thought you are right, winds are a changing at Traditional Home.
Wow! I love it all. Except for the red pendants— ha! Too much color for this neutral girl!
Gorgeous for sure…reminds my of my bedroom, creams, blues and touches of chocolate! So restful!
I really loved this layout too, I thought it was the perfect mix of modern and traditional. And I thought the stove was so cool.
ooo I LOVE muted colors. I only wish my husband did too. Otherwise our entire home would be soft and soothing.
Although I must say I love the dash of orange placed in every room to warm things up a bit.
you are right very subtle palette, but so harmonious and well lived in. Thanks for great posts, I also enjoyed the reno.
