I got a great email from a reader asking me to recommend some of my favorite chunky mirrors. I love big mirrors in almost every home. They are great over a bed, over a fireplace mantel, over a sofa etc. There are a few that I always go back to when designing rooms for clients.
Here are some of my favorites!
The Pierre mirror is one of my go-to mirrors as you’ve probably seen from my design boards. I love it. It’s so unique and such a great twist on the sunburst mirror.
The Devon mirror is a fantastic price and also comes in white.
This beauty has got that great chunky mirror feel but it still has some great dimension and detail.
This golden links mirror has a fabulous price! You can’t pass it up.
This antique silver mirror is so beautiful. I’ve also used this in some different designs and I love that it has a slight traditional twist on the sunburst mirror.
I love this mirror for the same reason.
This one has a fun shape and could be cool painted in some different colors.
If you have any great mirrors that you love let me know! I love finding new sources.
Love this round-up of mirrors. I found the last one at home goods for dirt cheap, painted it white and hung it in my bedroom. Love it! See here: http://greenstreetblog.blogspot.com/2010/11/before-after-my-homegoods-bedside.html
Love them all but the Pierre has to be my favorite.
I really like them too. They are growing on me more and more. I have always been a big square frames kind of person but these add so much flare!

love that kirkland's mirror (and it's cheap)! i always forget to check there…i've been looking for the perfect sunburst mirror to go over my bed, and this may be it!
I'm in love with this mirror post…and your blog too!

Hi Kirsten! Great mirror finds here…that last one is so cute. Another I really like is this sunflower mirror at http://www.amazon.com/Twos-Company-Sunflower-Antiqued-Mirror/dp/B002B562DG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1304431250&sr=8-1. I've seen it on some blogs and loved it in a room.
Nice list of chunky mirrors but my favorite has to be the Pierre Mirror from Z Gallerie!
Have a wonderful day, Kirsten!

I have this one from WS Home {http://www.wshome.com/products/p9197/index.cfm?pkey=cmirrors%2Dwall%2Dfloor}, and the price was just reduced – YAY. WS Home has some other really great options with a more traditional influence.
Love all your choices! Thanks for sharing.
I love it! I have the Devon mirror in white. I was in Z Gallerie about a month ago and could not pass it up. I am in LOVE with that antique silver mirror, so beautiful and classy.
I have a mirror I got at Hobby Lobby that is very similar to the golden links one. It is 129.99 regular price, I think, but I got it half off when they ran their sale.
It looks gorgeous above my bed!
Nice! This is so funny because I was just getting ready to purchase a pricey sunburst mirror for above my mantel! Thanks!
Thanks Kirsten! Thank you for taking the time to post my request, I love them all!
ooh, I love these all so much!
Thank you so much for this post! I've always loved the circular aspect of the sunburst mirror but feel they're used a lot lately. These are lovely alternatives that you don't see everywhere. Thank you!!
I love this one from Restoration, but it's not exactly price friendly.

Also love this one from Crate and Barrel

I love these mirrors. I found one very similar to the Devan mirror at Ross a couple months ago for $50, brought it home and the husband hated it…took it back and regretted it as it's now gone! Thanks for the eye candy.
My new fave is the Laura mirror from Layla Grace, a modified sunburst, antiqued and very dramatic! I recently used two in a client's guest bedroom and of course now want one for myself: http://loftandcottage.blogspot.com/2011/04/at-last-warm-inviting-guest-room.html
The Hobby Lobby mirror mentioned above by Rachel is a great deal. It goes on sale at 50% off regularly and when it's not they always have a weekly 50% off coupon. It is 29" in diameter and has 2 rows of rings rather than 3 rows like the one at Kirkland's. And the finish is a bit distressed. I have not seen the one from Kirkland's in person but from the online image, it too seems a bit distressed. I have the one from Hobby Lobby and find it's scale great above a queen bed.
Has anyone seen the gold links mirror in person? I wonder if the mirror has any distortion to it. My pet peeve is mirrors with distortion unless it's on purpose, like with a convex mirror.
I have a mirror obsession! They are all amazing!
I love this mirrors, they are all elegant and fantastic. I was impressed and you did a great job. Thank you for sharing.
