Remember how I had to make the hard decision to pick a wallpaper for my bathroom?
Well I went back and forth for months trying to decide. I was 99% sure that I was going to go with Summer Palace. I loved it! But then after staring at all the options a few more times I decided to go with this Thibaut Serendipity paper. I just loved how fresh it looked with all the white in it.
So here is the current plan for the bathroom.
I purchased a great faux bamboo mirror at Down East last week. It’s from Williams Sonoma home and originally it sold for $400. I got it for $60! I’m hoping I can get it to hang on the wall okay because it’s pretty heavy.
I’m also going to be displaying these amazing flamingos by eastwitching.
They were recently featured in Southern Living.
I’m excited to have that little bit of pink in the powder room.
I also want to swap out my current light fixture above the sink and add something a little bit more interesting.
I really like this fixture from Home Depot.
So now I just have to wait until the wallpaper is installed. I’ll post pictures once it’s all done!
Beautiful choices!!
xoxo
Totally fabulous! Can't wait for the after pictures!

I love wallpaper in powder rooms! The colors are great! I have a powder room also that I would like to makeover. Very inspiring!

Love the plan! I think that wallpaper will be lovely!!
Love it! Can't wait to see it all done!
I love it! I can't wait to see the after photos!
Oh, so pretty. I am so excited to see it installed. It will be beautiful with the pop of pink.
Your designs always turn out so well; can't wait for the after!
Perhaps this can help re: your concern about hanging the heavy mirror … using a french cleat to hang heavy objects distributes their weight over a larger area than would a standard mirror hanger. Also, if the object is so heavy to need a stud to fasten to – and of course there is no stud where you want to hang the object, the cleat can be mounted to the closest stud but enable you to position the object offset from the stud.
My Hobby Lobby just started carrying french cleats in the framing area; I have also found them elsewhere but this store is nationwide .
It's going to looks great and I love the touch of pink with the flamingos!
Love it! And can I say how jealous I am of this Down East store that you shop at? We have nothing like it, um on the East Coast no less, and it sounds like a great source for cool things! Can't wait to see it all come together.
Great choices. I can't wait to see how the powder room turns out.
kirsten, i love this scheme. it's fresh and not one i've seen a thousand times over. great score on the mirror! pam
I think you made a great choice! I don't think you could've gone wrong with any of those options!
You have no idea how jealous I am over that mirror. I've been searching EVERYWHERE for a white faux bamboo mirror (that I can afford). This is too perfect!
Sounds lovely! Can't wait to see!
Great colours used looks good I recently designed my bathroom using mydeco.com they have 3D room planner on there an it really helped me to visualise how the room would look, it might help.
Love that pop of pink with the flamingoes. I would never have thought of that. I would also add some wonderful custom hardware from martin pierce to really finish it off.
Looks like the makings of a fabulous powder room!
Love your choice in wallpaper!!! Those pink flamingos are going to add just the right pop of color too.
