So far I’ve shared the Living Room and Dining Room that I designed for the model home. Today I am sharing pictures and sources from the basement.
Our budget for the basement was $2,200. This needed to include a sofa, rug, barstools, toy storage, chair, media piece and accessories. It was not an easy task. We were able to find some great deals on the sofa, rug and t.v. piece.
This fabric was the inspiration for the room.
Sew Hip and Humble made some beautiful pillows for the sofa and we pulled out the tan and blue from the fabric for the rest of the room.

Sofa: Downeast We got this for around $600. There was a stain on the armrest which we just threw a throw blanket on top of. Problem solved!

Beautifully done! I especially like how light it feels, even for a basement. The sofa is gorgeous – so wish we had downeast on the east coast. The fine art photography you used is beautiful. I'll definitely be checking out Horace & Mae's etsy!
Do you know who makes the blue floral fabric? I'm in love with it! I'd love to use it to make curtains……
You're amazing to be able to do all that with two thousand dollars! I would have been in a panic but you pulled it off and it's beautiful! Great job Kirsten!
I love the fabric choices, and I love the clear jars for smaller toys. You did so much with your budget, it looks amazing.
Beautiful room – amazing budget! Could you share your source/price for the barstools? Thanks!
Amazing room on such a tight budget! Beautiful work as always!
The pillows and rug really make the space stand out 🙂

Girl you did such a great job. While $2200 is a nice size budget it's pretty tight for a huge space like a basement. Well done.
I've worked with tight budgets, so I know how hard and how much time it requires to squeeze that much design/style with that little money. GREAT JOB. Really impressed with this whole project!
Beautiful! You really made the budget go far! 🙂 Those jars with chalkboard labels are so cute!
looks beautiful Kirsten! I cannot believe you got all that done with a 2200.00 budget!!! Great job! love those chalkboard labeled jars!
