Thank you all so much for reading my series this week. And I want to thank my amazing client
for letting me share this story and her home with all of you.
for letting me share this story and her home with all of you.
If you are just tuning in check out the intro to this series here.
Let’s review what we started with:
Lots of beige and brown were happening in both of these rooms. The beautiful architectural detail wasn’t living up to it’s full potential for sure!
I hope you enjoy seeing the end result as much as I do!
I love how these rooms flow into each other!
We chose the Salvaged Wood and Concrete table from Restoration. The chairs are from Noir furniture. The Imperial Trellis wallpaper makes the beautiful trim-work stand out even more.
The chandelier is from Pottery Barn. All of the flowers on the table are a combination from Pier 1, Pottery Barn and Alice Lane Home Collection.
To display all of my clients dishes we chose the Barrymore Cabinet.
The curtain fabric is Jaipur Tree in Poppy and the panels were made by Plush Studio. The paint color in the Living Room is Palladian Blue.
The rug is the Safavieh Soho rug and we did it in an 8′ round.
The chairs are the Leyland Armless chair and we had them upholstered in Schumacher High Voltage.
The gold side table is from world market. All of the accessories on the table are from Alice Lane Home Collection.
The roman shades are done in Bleeker in Absinthe and I loved how they turned out! We hung them a couple feet taller than the actual windows so we could make the windows appear grander. We had them made by Windows by Melissa. The window bench seat is made by Rocky Mountain Upholstery.
The geometric pillow is from Alice Lane Home Collection.
The ombre pillow and sequin pillow are from Alice Lane Home Collection.
These spaces are so fun and so ME which is why I love them. A little traditional mixed with bold patterns and colors. It’s amazing to see a blank canvas transformed into a room full of beautiful things and lots of personality!

Simply stunning Kirsten ! Love all the beautiful colors together. I know your client must be thrilled.
this has been such a great week! and the final rooms are amazing. really love the way the shapes created in the patterns work together in both rooms. such a fun home!
It is so gorgeous! Such a bright, fun and happy space. I love it!
Hi Kirsten! Thank you so much for this series. It will help me a lot to put together a few makeovers in my house. The process to get to a result is the most difficult to those who are not a pro like you 🙂
Really love the colors and the patterns of both rooms. I think that the only thing that i change is the hight of the curtais, i put them neer ceeling, above the little windows, because i think the room seemes higher.
A big kiss.
Maria João
Yes that is a good idea! We considered it.. I just hated covering up any of that pretty wallpaper. lol. 😉
Oh my gosh, Kristin! A-mazing! (Would you think I was weird if I told you I was at my computer giving you a standing ovation? I'm not that weird, but this room deserves it!)
what! that would be amazing!!! 😉
really enjoyed the series. would like to see this more often
What a transformation! Everything is just lovely.

Thank you (and your clients!) so much for sharing your process- the finished product is truly stunning. I ADORE those curtains!
WOW! That is beautiful! You are amazing.
Love it all!
Wow! Beautiful- I love all the color!
I love how this turned out!!
This is fantastic! I love your blog and your style. This series was really fun and it turned out so well! I could read a million more posts like this one!
I have loved following along this week. I have a couple questions. Did they give you a budget in the beginning or did it evolve? Do you charge by the hour/job/percentage of items bought? And lastly…How do I hire you to do this for my home?
We kinda had a budget but some of my clients just want me to present lots of options in a variety of price ranges and they choose what they like best. They don't always want to be tied down to a number. They can also purchase over time if they don't want to do it all at once. I usually charge by the hour or do a flat rate. 😉
A.MAZ.ING! I love every room you do!
I absolutely adore your decor style! And I really enjoyed reading about the creative process.
Just amazing! I really enjoyed this series of blog posts. Thank you!
These rooms are fabulous!! I have LOVED this series! Thanks Kirsten!
Love the color palette! Beautiful job! Can I ask who you would recommend to install grass cloth wallpaper?
[email protected] is great! He did this wallpaper 🙂
Absolutely beautiful! Love everything!
I'm obsessed with then end result! You did such a fabulous job. Thank you so much for sharing, I really enjoyed this series.

Really enjoyed this series! Like seeing inside of your thought and planning process!
Amazing!! A beautiful transformation. I want to move in. 😉
Love, love, love! This may be my favorite makeover of yours!
Beautiful! What is the fabric on the window seat cushion and where did you get it?
Everything about this is beautiful. BRAVO!! I really enjoyed this series. I love seeing other designers' process. Great job. P.S. You know you're obsessive (ahem…me!) when you zero in on those awesome chevron chairs. A flip of a cushion and they'd be perfectly symmetrical 😉
ha ha! True! I never even noticed that.
You are amazing, Kirsten. 🙂 Thank you for sharing your beautiful work on your blog!!!
Love how this turned out! Stunning!
You truly have a gift for creating great spaces. I love it all but especially the round rug (why have I been ignoring how stylish they are?) and that the floating shelves are off-center. Genius!
These rooms are seriously perfect! I can't say enough how much I love them. I really enjoyed this series, and this is now one of my favorite room makeovers of all time.

Wowwy Wow Wow! This has got to be one of my favorite reveals ever from you! Thanks for taking us on your journey. I follow your blog religiously and love everything you do. Thanks for being so inspiring. Now if I could only afford Schumacher fabric (makes a room doesn't it?).
Love the dining room chairs! The cutout design is so pretty.
One of your best! Gorgeous!
Gorgeous!! Your client must be thrilled! Really enjoying this series 🙂
Beautiful rooms! The trellis wallpaper really makes the wood detailing stand out!
Fantastic job! Love the Jaipur fabric and how it ties the two rooms together. Brilliant gallery wall to give you more to look at than those two horizontal windows! Great design! xo Nancy

WOW!! This project turned out gorgeous!! I loved all the patterns and textiles you put together!
This is just beautiful!! I loved seeing the process. Have you seen any fabrics like the dining room wallpaper? Would love something like that for Roman shades in my kitchen!
I think I may have found the answer to my grand piano wall. It's a difficult wall to hang art on, but these floating shelves might be it. Love it all! Good job.
I love those dining chairs!
