The office in the Modern Farmhouse Project is located just off the entryway. Because of that we really wanted to make a statement! We kept it simple with clean lines as we really wanted the bookshelves to be the focal point. This office was also to be our client’s husband’s office. We wanted to find a balance between masculine and our modern farmhouse feel. We love how it all came together. From the layout to the bookshelves we really have fallen in love with this space.
For the bookshelves, we wanted to find a balance between books and accessories without being too cluttered. By doing that it really creates a statement and draws your eye to it. Layering, variety and white space is key when it comes to bookshelf styling!
Our client really wanted to keep as much furniture and accessories from their previous home. You will find throughout the house we were able to keep major pieces, which not only cut down on costs but also the client was able to bring something familiar with them. This desk is one of those pieces that belonged to our client.
