For the boys bedroom in the Modern Farmhouse Project we wanted to create a colorful and youthful space that the two boys could grow into. We started with an oversized world map as our jumping off point. We incorporated different shades of blue with pops of bright color.
Layering rugs is a great way to incorporate color and texture. It also allows you to save on the top layer if it is a one of a kind or as you would order a smaller size.
Our client wanted to use as many pieces she already owned. We incorporated the tall dresser, antique airplanes and green drum side table in the boys room.

Wondering how the heck you hung that fabulous map on the wall?
We hired a local company to hang it for us called Details By Others.
Such a wonderful space! Please share the source for the lion pillow…Thank you!
Land of Nod 🙂
So awesome!!! Can I ask where the mirrors are from?
Love this bedroom! Where does the half door go to near the ceiling?
It is going to be a play loft for the kids.
