Today we are excited to share both the master bedroom and guest bedroom in our Alden Model Home. In the master bedroom we wanted to showcase the vaulted ceilings and chose this beautiful blue wall color as our jumping off point. We wanted to create a balance between masculine and feminine and the art pieces really created a balance of colors for that. Bringing in some bright pillows and simple accessories also gave it that extra punch of color and personality.
We loved mixing different nightstands that compliment each other in the balance between masculine and feminine. Keeping the same lamps on either side keeps it cohesive.
In contrast to the master bedroom we wanted to keep the guest bedroom fairly neutral and give it a light and serene feel. A place where any guest could come and feel at home. We started out with this neutral upholstered headboard to bring in some softness then incorporated blues, golds and some muted reds to really finish off the space.
We wanted the bedding and the art to be the focus of the room. The throw pillows really bring in different patterns and compliments the photography prints.

So serene and gorgeous… Could you share where you found the large art in the master? I’m in love…
Thank you! Unfortunately the art is a trade item.
Love both rooms! Where are the watercolor prints in the master from?
Thank you so much! Unfortunately the art in the Master is a trade item.
Could you provide the name of a seamstress I could hire to make the euro pillows in the guest bedroom?
You can contact Kurt at 801-550-4742. Tell him House of Jade referred you. 🙂
I love how all your designs feel so fresh! And even though the master had that dark paint color, it still felt so light & bright!
I followed the links for the pillows in the guest bedroom, and it took me to the fabric designers website. I was wondering if we could order the actual pillows from you?
Sorry. We actually ordered the fabric and had them made.
That’s ok thank you. I actually know how to sew, so I really appreciate that you include your sources. I will try to purchase some of the fabric to replicate your pillows. Your work is so inspiring!!!
Can you please provide the color of the Peter Dunham Smarkand euro pillows in the guest room?
It is the Red/Blue Color.
Hi, what colour are the guest room walls? Both rooms are stunning!
Thank you! The wall color is Shoji White by Sherwin Williams.
Do you know the exact name of the bed from joss and main? I have been on their site for a long time searching.
It’s no longer available, but the color was Talc 🙂
Wow, I love the pillow combinations in the guest bedroom. I am wondering the size of the Susan Connor lumbar pillow. Is it a 12 x 20 or a 14 x 24 ? Actually, I am wondering the size of all of the pillows in this bedroom. Are the top ones 26 x 26, the middle row 20 x 20 and then the Sussan Connor one is….?
Also, I’ve been having trouble choosing inserts for pillows. Which ones do you use so that your pillows look so plush and perky? Thanks so much in advance. I would truly appreciate a response 🙂
The Susan Connor was 14×24 and the next layer back was 20×20 and the back layer was 22×22 (I think). You’ll notice we placed it on top of a bed pillow. We get our inserts from a variety of places including Pottery Barn and West Elm. The key is to get a size bigger of pillow insert than your pillow cover. So if your pillow cover is 20×20, you should get a 22×22 insert. Good luck!
Love the art in the master bedroom but understand it is a trade piece. Is it possible to purchase through you?
So sorry for the late response, sometimes blog comments get lost in the mix. Yes you can order them through us. Email [email protected] and we can take care of that for you.
Do you know where the side tables in the guest room were originally from? Thanks!
Is the guest room upholstered bed, the “Paloma” from Joss&Main and is it in the Talc color?
Yep this is the one https://www.jossandmain.com/Paloma-Upholstered-Bed-MRCR1063.html
