The Modern Farmhouse Project Entryway & Dining Room

We were approach by our client this past winter to help her with her new home she and her husband were building for her family. As soon as we saw the plans, we fell head over heels! She wanted a modern farmhouse feel and something very unique to Utah. That was something that was easy for us to get behind. We were beyond excited to help design this house and have come to love every corner of it.

Our team worked tirelessly all spring, sometimes late into the evenings, to get it ready for the Utah Valley Parade of Homes in June.

We are excited to finally show you the full tour of the Modern Farmhouse!  This home was built by Artisan Construction. They were great to work with and did such good job of making our vision and our client’s vision come to life!

We’ll start with the exterior and entry and then move on to other parts of the house. We hope you love it as much as we do!

The home owner wanted to marry a lot of modern and traditional elements.  The entryway felt a little traditional with the black and white tile so we chose to go more modern in the office (which we’ll be revealing later this week).

Our budget for this project wasn’t huge so we had to be really careful where we splurged.  The homeowner really wanted to try to keep as much of her original furniture as possible.  This entry table came from her home as well as the art.

The dining room is right off the entryway.  We decided not to do a rug in here since the entryway tile floor was so busy.

We wanted to keep this room simple so we were very careful with what we chose to bring in.  The tufted chairs add some necessary softness with the wood floor, wood table and lucite chairs.

This Buffet was another piece we chose to bring over from the owner’s old house.  It was a dresser in her bedroom. You’ll notice there is a lot of black and white used in the home so this black dresser fit in seamlessly.

Exterior Paint Color: SW Alabaster, Front Door Paint Color: Kwal Black Finish, Interior Paint Color: SW Snowbound, Marble Tile Flooring: Arizona Tile, Entry Chandelier,  Entry Wall Sconces, Hardwood Floors: Garrison Du Bois in Chrishell, Dining Pendant Lights, Dining Table, Ghost Chairs, Tufted Chairs (to the trade), Olive Branch Arrangement (Alice Lane), Clear Jars (Hobby Lobby). Dining Art,Buffet, Dining Sconces and Entry Console belonged to owner.
