We kept the Kitchen & Dining Room in the Hartford Model more neutral than other areas in the house. We really wanted to take advantage of and showcase the natural light from the large windows! We accomplished that by using lighter tones of paint and finishes, and then added in pops of color.
The area is a very family-friendly and functional space. The custom-made bench barstools are one of our favorites for young families. The upholstery used is an outdoor fabric which holds up to stains and dirt.
The pendant lighting is definitely a statement piece in the space, but still keeps the light and bright feeling we were going for.
Ginger Jars are a great alternative to the traditional centerpiece on a kitchen table.

Can you give the source of the fabric used on the barstool bench? Thanks

Would you share where you found those gold stud shaped cabinet pulls in this kitchen they are fabulous!!!
Here is something similar: http://rstyle.me/n/bbnvrub2z4x
I’ve seen you mixed brass and silver (or brushed nickel?) here. The effect is gorgeous — do you have any tips on how to mix those effectively and purposefully? (if you want to answer this on a future Q&A or something instead of here, I understand)
That’s a great idea for a feature post! We mix metals quite often and as long as there aren’t too many mixed metals happening we don’t feel like it’s a big deal. You’ll notice a lot of designers do it in Kitchens and Baths.
Would you mind sharing your go-to white for trim and cabinets? Love your designs! Thank you!

Hi! Can you share the source of the artwork? I love it! Thank you!
It’s from a trade source, Wendover Art.
What sort of countertops are those?
You can find them here: http://www.caesarstoneus.com/en/The-Catalog/Pages/6600%20Nougat.aspx
