When designing a home, the kitchen is one of the most important part for most people. Especially with families, its where you spend most of your time. Gathering, eating, cooking, entertaining. All of these things need to be kept in mind while designing the layout and space in a kitchen. One of the most important parts to the design is the appliances. We really feel like the appliances can make or break a kitchen design! You really need to think about functionality and aesthetics. Think about what is going to work best for your needs but at the same time look great in the space.
For the Morgan Farmhouse the kitchen stove is going to be the center of attention. We designed the kitchen in a way where the islands run perpendicular to the stove wall, instead of parallel. This left a wide open view to the stove right in the middle. We knew that it had to be a show stopper. The style of the kitchen was mostly neutral with woods, whites and light grey and we needed some contrast. That’s when Duerden’s Appliance and Mattress introduced us to the Bertazonni line. We instantly fell in love with the unique french look, and the beautiful details. Who knew appliances could be so pretty? Todd at Duerden’s is the most knowledgeable expert on appliances you will ever find. He was so helpful in directing us through the options and what worked for the Morgan’s specific needs. What we came down to was the Bertazzoni 48″ gas range in the Heritage collection in the grey colorway. This stove was our starting off point, it fit all the style and functional needs we needed. We loved the dark grey finish and we knew that it was going to give us that contrast we needed.
Each Bertazzoni appliance is a piece of art!
From there Todd helped us go through the rest of the kitchen and what appliances worked well for each item needed. We didn’t choose all from the same line, a few from Bertazzoni and the rest are all different. We just tried to keep within the same traditional look, and then added some panel front in as well so we didn’t have an over load of stainless steel in the design.
We are super excited how it is all coming together! We are always taken care of at Duerden’s, we know that we can always find exactly what we are needing! Stay tuned for the installation and final pics of the finished kitchen at the Morgan Farmhouse.
