It has been of my lifelong goals to take a photography class. I just feel like I am doing myself a disservice to have such a nice camera and have no idea how to use it. So I just signed up for Heather Mildenstein’s photography class.
If you are in Utah and wanting to learn some great basics I would recommend this class. Not only is it a great deal but you will be learning all the basics of photography.

Unfortunately I am not in Utah, but I am in need of the same help. It seems wasteful to have such a lovely camera with a million settings, when I only typically leave it on Auto :).

You will thank yourself! I took one in May at a local photograhers studio whom I absolutely love. I got my camera for X-mas and was very intimidated by the manual. It was so much easier to learn how to use it with someone "dumbing" it down for me. Now I never use the preset settings!
I wish I was in Utah! I have been saying the same thing. Would love for you to share any tips after you attend the class.
