Morgan Farmhouse Cabinetry

Morgan Farmhouse | April 10, 2018

The functionality of the kitchen is one of the most important aspects of designing a home for us. This is where most families spend their time gathering, cooking and eating together. We wanted to make sure that we thought of everything that would work for the Morgan’s lifestyle. Deco Design helped us make all of these ideas and inspirations a reality! The talented team produces quality beautiful cabinetry!

We sat down with Deron from Deco and went over all the specifics we were wanting and he came back with overview drawings for us to visualize the finished product. From there we were able to make tweeks here and there and add all the special storage and details we were wanting.

For the outside surrounding cabinetry we chose a shaker style with a small trim detail. These are all painted in Benjamin Moore Nimbus and combined with the contrasting dark hardware and oven it turned out perfectly.

A pebble ice maker from Duerden’s was a splurge but a must in the Morgan kitchen! We had it paneled to match the rest of the cabinetry on the wet bar to blend in.

For the islands we knew we wanted a more rustic wood, Deron came up with the perfect custom stain on hickory. We love how the hickory wood has so much character and brought the perfect amount of rustic that we were looking for. We put the same finish hardware on the islands but pulls instead of knobs to switch it up.

Deco Design really was the team that helped make this kitchen come to life! We work with them on a lot of our client work and will continue to do so, we love finding vendors that can bring our visions to life. We will be showing the rest of the cabinetry through the rest of the house in the next couple weeks so stay tuned!
